Blog 5: Changes to my study program

 Hi everyone!

Today I will talk about the changes that I would made in my career. I study Social Work and is a carreer that was opened a few years ago (2014), because in the dictatorship was closed, because it was a very political  career, and was made an important fight in resistance to the dictatorship.

About the curriculum, I think that the courses are very nice, because we have a good education in the social sciences, investigation and critical view of the society. That deliver us differents tools to confront the work world and the complex problem that exist in the society. 

In terms of workload, I think that the classes are so long, because beeing 3 hours listen the teacher is very easy lost the concentration in the first or second hour, but I think that the lenght of my carreer -5 years- is ok, I think that is a good amonunt of time to have a good training.

The infrastructure from my faculty I think that is ok, because is big and have a lot of places to study, but in some cases the classroom are to small and we are, sometimes, very cramped. In my career we use programs that help us analyze data and make graphics, but in general each student must have this program on their own computers. I think that could improve because the university can´t assume that every student have a computer.

BLOG 3: My dream Job

Hi classmates! 

Today I will talk about my dream Job. I study Social Work, so I would like to work on this area and apply what I have learned during the five years. To be honest I don´t have clarity what my dream job will be, and I wouldn´t like to work in the same place all my life, but in general calls my attention the prision section and the creation of public policies. 

I must to develop differents skills to work on this things, like communicating with people who think complete different from me and make agreements. I think that is so difficult discuss with people, for example, from the political sector of the right. 

Respect the salary, I would like to say "the money is not important" or "I work because is my vocation", but the money is necessary to have a good life, so I would llike to have a salary with I can live peacefull and with dignity. 

The next year I would take a major about a speciffical focus on Social Work, so I think that I would take one that the content comes from latinoamerica, because I think that is time to study an focus in theories from our continent.

I think that my carreer is very versatile, so I can work in differents things that I will discover in the future.

BLOG 6: English lenguage challenges

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a goog week after the strike :)

Today I will talk about  English Lenguages Challenges and my experience with English class in this semester. First of all, about my experience learning English at university, I consider that has been very productive because I can understand, learn and listen things that before I can´t. This experience has been very different from others, for example, at school, because in that place the way to learn was focusing on learn grammar, but I forget this things very fast. Here at university is more focusing on apply the aspects an have the toolls to communicate, read, listen and write, maybe not in a perfect way, but can do this. For example with the blogs every weeks, write about differents topics, was a verry good way helps to expand my vocabulary and grammar.

About the aspects in my English that I think I must improved are in listenning and reading, they are the most difficult aspects to me, and the way that I think can improved are with seeing movies and series in English and have the subtitles in English too. With this plan I can practice to read an listen everything in English.

Outside English class I used it to read investigation or Instagram post that are not translate to Spanish, also understand the meanings of the songs and videos, and if I must to communicate with people that aren´t Spanish speaker is very usefull, because is verry common that people from another parts of the word speak even a little bit of English.

BLOG 4: Post - Graduate Studies

Hello classmates! Today I´m going to Talk about post - graduates studies. Actually I´m studing my fisrt career in undergrde, and that is Social Work on my second year. I have considered to study another thing when I finish my career, specifficly an specialization in Social Work. 

I would like to study in a master program about the Marxist focus on Social Work in Brazil, with two social workers that i have read sometimes, their are Marilda Iamamoto and José Paulo Netto. They call my attention. because their teorys have a speccial and interessants way to understand the world with her problems in many aspects of life in the current capitalist system, also their propouse innovatives forms to resolve this problems, that are worthy of studying. By the way is so important to me to have a scholarship that can help to me to finance the cost of this master program and the cost of life, like food, a place to live, the transport, etc. because I don´t have much money.

I would like to study outside of Chile, who I mentioned before, specifficly un Brazil, but a difficult is the lenguage, because I don´t speak Portuguese, but is a think that I can study too in a close future in my University. Of course I would like to study face to face, because I hate online classes, and also it will be an amazing experience to study and live in a different country, learn in the master program and the culture, places, food, etc of Brazil. Blog 2: the best concert ever

Hi! Today I will talk about my best concert ever. It was in the last weekend in Padre Hurtado park, Las Condes, It was a festival of different Chilean artist and verry different between then and their types of music. For example play´s "la sonora sonora de Tommy Rey", a group who my parents listen on New Year or their parties, and also artist who play´s reggeaton, like Pablo Chill-e, Princesa Alba, Pailita and Aka 4.20. Another band that I like so much to seen then it was Super Nova, their are a band from the decade of 2000´s and I listened their song´s when I was a little girl and saw a presentation from them was a special experience. 

The atmosphere was verry speciall, because people attended from different ages, like children´s, young´s and also adults, who wants to see differents artist. I enjoyed so much in this festival!! because I went whith my friends from the university, he called Trini, Vale, Alfi and Vicky and we had a great time together. 

Also we ate chips and churros, but we must to do a verry long queue like from 1 hour! :(, but in general was a great experience and I hope that i can go in another time to this festival!

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

Hi! Today I will talk about the country I would like to visit. I think that traveling around the world  is a wonderful experience, so I would like to visit many countries, but today I will talk about traveling to Cuba, because i´m interested to know about the culture, landscapes, the political system, Cubans, the food and the typical music of the country. 

I was knowing that in Cuba there was a revolution in 1959 in the middle of the cold war, and that brought repercussions to the present day. I would like to walk around the cities, especially in the Habana and know the remains of the revolution, eat typical food and also know the beaches like Varadero.

I think that I would like to live in Cuba, but for a short time, like 6 months and know the culture in first person. 

To finish I think that Cuba is a interesting destination to visit, because the style of life is verry different from my country.
